The other boy continued to puzzle him. Jerry made no effort to begin a conversation and Bob refused to lay himself open to a turn-down by making the first remark. However, as he rose from the table he asked if Jerry had been down the Bright Angel Trail to the very bottom of the Canyon. “Come along with me then,” suggested Bob. “I would be tickled to death to have company, especially if you’ve got another line and plenty of bait.” “Pooh!
